The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) is required by various Federal and State laws and regulations to review and comment on many proposed developments, comprehensive plans, and applications for Federal assistance in the Atlanta region.  ARC performs its review and comment responsibility to accomplish two basic goals: facilitation of intergovernmental coordination and cooperation, and conformance with regional plans and policies.

With minor exceptions, ARC’s review procedure involves notification to potentially affected agencies, staff review, efforts to resolve any problems, and findings.  These review responsibilities are listed below with links, where available, to more detailed information:
