Advisory Committee on Aging

The Atlanta Regional Commission Advisory Committee on Aging (ARC-ACA) serves as the advisory board to the Area Agency on Aging. As such, its has a variety of functions:

To advise and submit recommendations on all matters relating to the development, review and evaluation of the Area Plan on Aging;
To report on activities, needs and initiatives in local communities; to stimulate community interest in problems of the elderly;
To promote awareness among the public of federal, state and regional resources available for the elderly;
To cooperate with and assist municipalities, educational institutions and private enterprises within the region in the development of programs for the elderly.

Meetings are open to the public and are held on the first Tuesday of each month, unless otherwise changed, at 1:30 p.m. at the Atlanta Regional Commission.
