Envision6 Regional Transportation Plan

Last modified Thursday, September 18, 2008 15:37

The Atlanta Regional Commission forecasts that 2.3 million more people will move to this region in the next 25 years. How can we accommodate this growth and still maintain our high quality of life? Envision6 integrates land use, transportation and water planning.

The Envision6 Regional Transportation Plan (RTP), FY 2008-2013 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), Conformity Determination Report, and the Public Involvement Report were adopted by the ARC Board on September 26, 2007.

On October 10, 2007, the US Department of Transportation in coordination with the Environmental Protection Agency found the Envision6 RTP/TIP conforms with the air quality requirements for the 8-hour ozone standard and the Particulate Matter (PM) 2.5 standard.  The FY 2008-2013 TIP was approved on December 12, 2007 by the Board of the Georgia Regional Transportation Authority (GRTA) on behalf of the Governor.
