Networking & Information Sharing

In addition to the provision of technical assistance and resources, ARC encourages and facilitates peer-to-peer networking across many different levels of government.

Local Government Managers Forum - ARC encourages and facilitates communications between local government managers through the production of a monthly newsletter and quarterly luncheons.  Lunches are hosted by communities across the region to provide peer-to-peer networking opportunities and share best local government practices.

Human Resources - Local Government Services staff  produce a quarterly newsletter for human resource professionals.  The newsletter serves as a means of communication for sharing relevant human resources information and best practices.

Economic Development - The 10-county Atlanta region is a designated Economic Development District (EDD).  EDD designation is necessary in order to qualify for Economic Development (EDA) Administration assistance, which can ultimately be utilized to create alternative economies, fund job training and attract investment to diverse parts of the region.  To this end, ARC has created a quarterly newsletter for local government economic development professionals and implemented quarterly luncheons for communities to share relevant economic development challenges, issues and opportunities.
