Information & Referral
Whether you are an older adult or a caregiver concerned about the well-being and independence of an older adult, the Atlanta Regional Commission’s Aging Services Division is ready to help. ARC’s AgeWise Connection Information and Referral Service can connect persons to such services as health-related programs, transportation, housing options, financial assistance and more. Callers can receive specific information about service providers, such as cost and areas served. There is no charge for this service, and counselors are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The number to call is 404.463.3333.
To search ARC’s online database on services, visit the AgeWise Connection Web site.
For information about services in other locations in the country, contact Eldercare Locator. Since 1991, Eldercare Locator has helped older adults and caregivers find local services for seniors. This service is available online, giving consumers an easy way to link to the information and referral services of area agencies on aging around the country. These I&R programs can help you identify appropriate services in the area where you or your family member resides.
If you want more specific references, however, call the Eldercare Locator to speak to an information specialist who has access to a database of more than 4,800 entries. The toll-free Eldercare Locator service operates Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Eastern Standard Time, and can be reached at 1.800.677.1116.
