Geographic Information Systems at ARC
The Atlanta Regional Commission’s Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Division provides support and products to our planning staff and public. GIS is a growing technology that combines database information with geographic features such as community facilities, streets and census tracts. GIS requires hardware, software, data and people to create effective tools that can be used to view, query, analyze and map our region and world. ARC’s GIS Division provides data, maps and training in a variety of ways to local governments, planning partners, consultants and the general public.
